Eileen J. Mayo, 69 Standish- Eileen J. Mayo passed away after a brief illness on Tuesday, May 31 in Nashville, Tennessee with her husband and son by her side. She was born in Portland, Maine on November 13, 1946. Eileen was a graduate of Westbrook High School and Golden School of Beauty. She worked as a hair dresser for 48 years and retired in 2014. Most recently, she wintered in Nashville and summered at Watchic Lake in Standish. Eileen was a bubble of energy. She had a passion for exploring new places, gardening, arts and crafts, and spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren. Eileen was filled with laughter and she loved to have a good time. She was generous and kind and was always there to offer a helping hand to anyone who needed her. She always said "never sweat the small stuff" in life. Eileen was predeceased by her father Gaston Boulanger and step-mother Rachael. She is survived by her husband Donald Mayo; son Mark Niemiec and wife Abra; daughters Elicia Niemiec and wife Lisa Smith, Christine Ruggiero and Joe Ruggiero, Kelly McInnis and husband Doug; grandchildren Anthony, Angela, Damon, Blake, Silas, Emma; father-in-law Fred Mayo; sister-in-law Pauline Raymond and husband Henry; and cat Buddy. Eileen will be deeply missed by everyone who knew her. Family and friends are invited to join her life celebration at Blais and Hay Funeral Home at 35 Church Street, Westbrook on Saturday, June 25.
