Edward M. Jazdzewski 1938-2024 Edward Jazdzewski passed away on October 15, 2024 at the Maine Veteran's Home in Scarborough. He was married to the love of his life, Anne Marie for 67 years. He leaves behind his daughter Donna and her husband Chris. His pride and joy were his beloved grandchildren Ben and Lily, their spouses Ashley and Shanna and his great-grandson Everett. Ed served in the United States Navy as a flight mechanic during the Korean War era and was very proud of his service. He was a machinist for many years at the J.J. Nissen Baking Company in Portland. In his homelife, Ed was the ultimate handyman and was always there to help his friends and family in need. Ed could usually be found outdoors in his yard and he passed along his love of nature and gardening to his granddaughter. He loved going for long walks and loved to chat with people he met along the way. Ed proudly served in the Knights of Columbus for many years. Most of all he enjoyed being in the great outdoors. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved taking his grandson on trips throughout Maine, teaching him everything he knew. His smile and laugh were infectious and he will be greatly missed by all. Visitation will be Friday November 1, 2024 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. followed by the funeral at 11:00 a.m. at Dolby, Blais & Segee Funeral Home, 35 Church St., Westbrook. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society so that those battling the disease can continue to find hope and a cure.
