Hiram,   Earle G. Porter, Jr, aka Earle "Grant" "Duke" Early Bird" Porter Jr., 58 passed away at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House on Tuesday, July 6, 2016.  Earle was born and raised in Portland the son of Earle and Irene (Stormont) Porter on December 20, 1957.  He was very handy fixing anything, especially cars; he referred to himself as a "jerk of all trades". He enjoyed helping anyone who needed help. He was a Patriots fan from the beginning when they were the Boston Patriots playing at Fenway Park. He was predeceased by a brother Brian, and a sister Earleane.  He is survived by sons; Earle G. Porter, III, of Mechanic Falls, and Aaron Porter of York; daughter Cassandra Porter of South Portland; grandchildren, James Denney, Rex St. Germaine, June Porter, Amelia Denney & Natalie Denney; sisters Sue Hoyt of Portland and Brenda Palmer of Limerick.  Visiting hours will be on Sunday, August 7, from 4 to 6 PM at Blais & Hay Funeral Home, 35 Church St. Westbrook.  Online condolences can be expressed at blaisandhayfuneralhome.com.
