Obituary

WINDHAM-- Earl Rees Nannay, 75, passed away unexpectedly at Maine Medical Center in Portland on Friday, March 29, 2019. He was born in Camden, New Jersey, to parents William and Helena Nannay and attended local schools. He also served in the Army and received an honorable discharge. Earl enjoyed an adventurous life, spending years in New Jersey, Illinois, Saipan, and Guam before returning to Maine to be near his siblings. He loved music, especially jazz, and enjoyed learning and sharing trivia with his friends. He was generous with his time and talents and always willing to help others. Earl was predeceased by his parents, a daughter Cindy, and a sister Debra. He is survived by a daughter Kimberly; sister Joy Ruby (William), brothers Robert (Judith) and Thomas (Anna), and many nieces and nephews. Earl was also an organ donor, and his legacy lives on. Friends and family are invited attend a memorial service at the Seventh Day Adventist Church, 97 Allen Avenue in Portland on Sunday, April 7, at 2:00 PM. Cremated remains will be interred at a later date in New Jersey. Arrangements are in the care of the Gorham Chapel of Dolby Blais & Segee, 76 State St., Gorham, Maine.
