INDUSTRY – Dorothy Theresa Emery, 97, died on February 4, 2018, in Portland. She was born in Philadelphia, PA on June 26, 1920. Dorothy grew up in Philadelphia, and moved to Maine after she met her husband, Albert Emery. The pair moved to Industry, and together made a life for themselves and their son, Timothy. Dorothy was a natural care giver, and often looked after the neighborhood children, and her half-brother. She was well known and liked in the community, often drawing everyone to her house. Dorothy was famous for her Fourth of July Taco Party, that everyone would attend. She was a devout Catholic, and was a communicant of St. Anne's Catholic Church in Gorham for a short time. Dorothy enjoyed crocheting and collecting miniatures to keep her busy. She will be missed by all that know her. Dorothy is survived her son Timothy Emery and wife Charlotte of Windham; and her two grandchildren, Megan and Elijah. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband. A funeral service will be held at 2pm on Friday, February 16, 2018, at the Windham Chapel of Dolby, Blais, & Segee, 434 River Rd., Windham.
