Dorothy Peters 87, of Westbrook died unexpectedly at her home on Monday, September 3.She was born in St. Catharine's, Ontario Canada the daughter of John and Violet (Keyes) Green. She was educated in St. Catharine's. Dorothy moved in 1943 to Canonsburg, PA with her family, there she worked at Alcoa for 2 years. She then moved to Cleveland, Ohio and worked at the telephone Co. for 2 years. Dorothy moved up to Portland, ME in 1945 and worked at N.E Telephone for 7 years, and then worked at the Weyerhaeuser Co. in Westbrook for 31 years retiring in 1986. Dorothy was predeceased by her husband George Peters, and daughter Sharon Peters. She is survived by her two sons, Jeffrey of Kennebunk, and Michael of West Palm Beach, her sister Catherine Crosby of Westbrook, grandchildren Carrie Hilton and husband Christopher, Carisa Ayers and husband Robert, Great grandchildren Morgan Lynn Hilton, and Eden Ayers, as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services for Dorothy will be held at St. Anthony's Church, 268 Brown St. Westbrook on Friday September 7, at 10 AM. Interment will be in the V.A. Cemetery, Augusta.
