Dorothy A. Leavitt, 95 of Westbrook, ME peacefully passed away at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House on Friday, Jan. 22, 2016 . She was born in Westbrook on February 22, 1920 and attended Westbrook Schools. Dorothy was a life-long resident of Westbrook where she and husband Herbie opened and operated Herbert's Dress Shop on Main Street.  She also worked many years at Sebago Moc and following her retirement she worked at John Roberts Bingo for many years.  In her later years she took great pleasure in actively following activities and sport events that her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were involved in.  She held several offices in the Daughters of Isabella. Dorothy was predeceased by her parents Philip and Grace Lefebvre, her loving husband F. Herbert Leavitt; a sister Diane Davan and brothers Donald and Arthur Lefebvre. Surviving are a brother Edward Lefebvre of Hallowell; daughter Phyllis and Ronald Letourneau; son Bruce and Susan Leavitt; niece Monique and Jim West; grandchildren Doreen Montis, Kimberly Leavitt, Teresa Guinard, Peter Leavitt and many great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.  Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday from 12 Noon to 1 PM at Blais & Hay Funeral Home, 35 Church St., Westbrook.  A memorial service will follow at 1 PM.
