Dorothy Elizabeth Bernier, 94, formerly of Westbrook  passed away Saturday, February 14, 2015 at Seaside Nursing Home. Dorothy was born and raised in Westbrook, the daughter of Clester Erwin and Alice (Richardson) Watson. Besides raising a family she worked much of her life before retiring from Zayres Department Store. Dorothy enjoyed knitting, playing bingo, crafting and especially dancing. She was a great dancer. She also had a great outlook on life, always looking for the best in people. And always had a smile for them. Because of this everyone who met her loved her. Dorothy was predeceased by her husband Rodolphe and a granddaughter Christine Bernier. She is survived by her children; Priscilla Cooper of South Portland, Peter Bernier and his wife Deborah of South Portland, Daniel Bernier and wife Sandy of Standish,; her grandchildren Jason, Travis and wife Emily, Lee, and Cassandra Bernier; and great grandchildren Tyler and Zachary Bernier. The family would like to thank everyone at Seaside who helped Dorothy and who loved her as much as we did. She made many friends and will be missed by all. Visiting hours will be from1 to 3PM Thursday, February 19, followed by a funeral service at 3 PM at Blais & Hay Funeral Home, 35 Church St., Westbrook.
