Donna Lee Porell Loring, 65, of Westbrook, Maine, passed away on Wednesday, August 3, after many years battling Multiple Sclerosis (MS) and ultimately cancer. The funeral service will be held at August 15 at St. Anthony's in Westbrook. Father Seavey of St. Anthony's will be officiating. Visitation will be held on August 14 at Blais-Hay in Westbrook. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Blais-Hay Funeral Home of Westbrook, Maine. Donna was born in Westbrook, Maine on December 31, 1950. She graduated from Westbrook High School in 1969 and continued on to take classes at University of Southern Maine. Donna was married to William T. Loring of South Portland on July 4, 1981; they were married 35 years. Donna worked as a Service Representative for Verizon for twenty-four years, accepting early retirement in 1995. Although her own physical mobility was increasingly limited, she enjoyed actively participating in message boards related to MS and sharing information and support with her MS friends in both the US and abroad.  Donna is survived by husband Bill, daughters Karen Loring of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Kim Loring of Charlotte, North Carolina, Deanna Blanchard  and her husband Matt Blanchard of Windham, Maine, son Billy Loring and his wife Danielle of Cape Elizabeth, Maine, seven grandchildren:  Malik Wright, Dominic, Mason, London and Mia Loring, Cooper Blanchard and Darius Cudney, sisters Linda Porelle of San Francisco, California, Carol Gordon of Gorham, Maine, Kathy Porell of Sabattus, Maine and Shirley Lawrence of Westbrook, Maine, 10 nieces and 21 nephews, and many other family and friends.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you send donations to the MS Society.   Online condolences may be expressed at www.blaisandhayfuneralhome.com
