Obituary

Windsor, ME - Donald Allan Larouche, 72, of Westbrook, ME, passed away on June 29, 2026, at his sister’s home in Windsor following a brief illness with cancer. He was born on April 11, 1954, in Waterville, ME, the son of Gloria Larouche.

Donald grew up in Madison, ME, before moving to the Portland area. Over the years, he worked at several local businesses and organizations, including Valle’s Steak House, Downeast Uniform, and the Salvation Army. He also worshiped with several church congregations in the Westbrook and Portland areas.

Donald loved his community of Westbrook. He was well known for walking throughout the city, speaking with friends and neighbors, and taking pride in the place he called home. He could often be seen helping keep the city clean, attending local celebrations, and volunteering his time in service to the city. In recognition of his service and dedication, he received a proclamation and was named an Honorary Mayor, an honor in which he took great pride.

He was predeceased by his wife, Holly Larouche; his mother, Gloria Larouche; his brothers, Joseph Larouche and James Larouche; and his brother-in-law, Randall York Sr.

Donald is survived by sister, Linda Mayo and husband, Roland, of Chelsea; brother, Robert Larouche, of Florida; brother, Daniel Larouche of Houston, Texas; sister, Cindy Laney and husband, Bill, of Norridgewock; sister, Vicki York, of Windsor; sister, Rebecca Poulin and husband, John, of Skowhegan; brother, John Larouche and wife, Joyce, of Starks; sister-in-law, Millie Larouche, of Fairfield; and many nieces and nephews.

The family extends a special thank you to Steve and Louise Martin and Pastor Dave and Janet Perkins for the love and support they gave Donnie throughout his life.

Donald will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

A private graveside service will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery in Westbrook. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a celebration of life on Friday, July 31, 2026, from 1 - 3 p.m. at First Baptist Church, 733 Main Street, Westbrook, ME.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to Living Hope Church, 40 Portland Street, Portland, ME.
