Born on April 6, 1942, to Gerard and Yvette Galipeau of Westbrook, Donald served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam era. After returning home, he proudly earned his GED from Portland High School, a testament to his determination and commitment to bettering his life and future. He later began a machinist position at Hill Acme in Gorham, eventually becoming Plant Foreman through dedication and leadership. A devoted community member, Donald volunteered for many years with Westbrook Rescue, ultimately serving as President. He was instrumental in organizing fundraisers and going door-to-door to raise money for new rescue equipment, leaving a lasting and meaningful impact on the community he loved. Donald will be remembered for his devotion to family, his service to his country, and his deep commitment to helping others. His legacy lives on in the many lives he touched Don enjoyed having his family over and hosting backyard cookouts and lobster bakes.
