Gorham Donald "Don" Edward Fecteau passed away on Apr 29, 2023, from a long battle with cancer. He was born January 15, 1945 to Marjorie (Johnson) Fecteau and Edmond Joseph Fecteau of Standish, Maine. Don graduated from Bonny Eagle High School in 1962. After graduation he worked for the S.D. Warren Company and at the same time worked at a local gas station for a few years before taking a job in the same district he previously graduated from as lead custodian at BEHS. Then Don worked for the Sheridan Corporation and this is where he met his loving wife Elizabeth (Plummer) Fecteau. They married in March of 1980 and resided in Gorham, Maine. Don then was asked by the Sheridan Corporation if he would transfer to Cape Cod to help out. He and Beth took on the new adventure and moved to Cape Cod where they spent 22 years. They moved back to Gorham, Maine in 2004 and Don then worked for Westbrook Gardens until his retirement in 2016. Don loved to go hunting and preparing a nice hunters breakfast for many of his buddies on the first morning of hunting season. He also had a great appreciation for gardening. He loved working the land and also loved to cook many surprising meals for his family. In Don's retirement years there was nothing he loved more than taking a long motorcycle ride with his wife by his side. Don is predeceased by his two brothers Robert and Norman both of Steep Falls, Maine. Surviving in addition to his Wife of 43 years are his Sister Gloria Cartonio. Daughters Cheryl Ann Crouse and her husband of Westbrook, Cynthia Marie Fecteau and her husband Scott of Westbrook. Step daughters Erica Elizabeth Wilcox and her husband Edward of Gorham and Kami Erin LaPointe of Lewiston. Grandchildren Amanda, Amber, Bryan, Gabe, Emilly and Sarah. Great granddaughter Brooklyn. Several nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank his team at the Scarborough Cancer Center along with all the nurses both at MMC and Hospice. Visiting hours will be held from 11:00AM – 1:00PM Thursday, May 4, at the Windham Chapel of Dolby, Blais & Segee, 434 River Road, Windham. A funeral service will follow visitation at 1:00PM. Interment will follow at St. Hyacinth Cemetery, Westbrook.
