Dennis B. Corkrey, 71, of Lori Lane Westbrook, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Oct. 12. He was born in Portland, the son of Joseph L. and Irene M. Levesque Corkrey. He was raised and educated in Portland, attended Portland High School and St. Dominic's Church. He served in the U. S. Navy. Following his military service, Dennis worked as a merchant seaman,   for Maine Central Railroad, and UNUM. He was pre deceased by his wife Beverly Bennett Corkrey in 2006. He is survived by a son Christopher, wife Heather and granddaughter Madalyn Corkrey of  Milford, MA, brothers Bruce and wife Frances Corkrey of Portland, Ronnie Corkrey of CA, sisters Marlene Manoogian of Westbrook, Judy Giovani of CA, Elaine Conley of SC and Linda West of Portland. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Friday, Oct. 25, at 11:00 AM in St. Pius X Church, Portland. Burial with military honors will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
