Obituary

Dolores "Dollie" (Tanguay) Landry, 79, died Friday July 13, 2018. She was born April 7, 1939, in Westbrook, a daughter of Eugene and Jeannette (LaBrecque) Tanguay. Dollie grew up in Westbrook and was a 1957 graduate of Westbrook High School. Primarily a seamstress, she also enjoyed careers as a CNA, bank teller, bookkeeper, and dispatcher for S.D. Warren. Dollie had many hobbies. Her favorites included sewing, knitting, reading, watching old movies and spending time with her family. She will be remembered as a very loving women with a big heart that always put her family and others first. In addition to her parents, Dollie was predeceased by her granddaughter, Amanda Grant. She is survived by her daughters, Anissa Grant and her husband Randall of Windham, and their children, Ashley and Travis; and Aimee Landry of Virginia; sisters, Theresa Grant and her husband Hayden of Marco Island, Fla, and Denise Harvey of Westbrook; brother Eugene Tanguay and his wife Patricia of Windham and many nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be held from 5:00PM – 7:00PM Wednesday July 18, at the Westbrook Chapel of Dolby, Blais & Segee, 35 Church Street, Westbrook. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00AM Thursday July 19, at St. Anthony of Padua Parish 268 Brown Street, Westbrook. Burial will follow at St. Hyacinth Cemetery Stroudwater Street, Westbrook. Those wishing to remember Dollie may make a gift in her name to the Maine Children's Cancer Program 100 Campus Dr. #107, Scarborough, ME 04074.
