Obituary

Delbert A. Campbell, of Westbrook, passed away Monday, Oct. 8, 2012. He was born May 16, 1924 in Easton to Pearl and John Campbell.  He served in the U.S. Army at D-Day and was in Patton's 3rd Army until being wounded in St. Lo, France.  He was awarded several medals for his service, among them the Purple Heart.  After the war he operated several service stations.  He retired from the U.S. Postal Service.  He was a life member of the V.F.W. He was predeceased by his wife Lillian in 1986.  He is survived by four sons, Delbert M. and his wife Judy of Rockledge, FL, Thomas and his wife Elizabeth of Cocoa, FL, Wayne and his wife Eilene of Gray, John and his wife Sandra of Freeport; nine grandchildren, and seventeen great grandchildren.
