Obituary

Debra Marie Harnois, 60, of Westbrook passed away at St. Joseph's Manor on June 27, 2012 after a brief illness.  Daughter to Irene and Robert Harnois, Debbie was born on December 6, 1951.  She had two brothers, Robert Harnois Jr. and Ronald Harnois.  Debbie was a graduate of Westbrook High School. Debbie was employed by St. Joseph's Manor in the housekeeping department for thirty years. A dedicated employee, she enjoyed those she worked with and always spoke fondly of them. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, relaxing by the pool, family cookouts, and lobster bakes. Debbie was a generous donor to several organizations as well. Debbie is predeceased by her parents Irene (Beaumier) Harnois and Robert L. Harnois of Westbrook and by her brother Ronald B. Harnois of Westbrook.  Debbie is survived by her brother Robert L. Harnois Jr. of Auburn and his companion Jan Sullivan; her sister-in-laws Joan Harnois of Westbrook and Jean Harnois of Shrewsbury, Massachusettts.  Debbie was an aunt to seven nieces and nephews.  Chris Harnois and wife Kelly of Westbrook; Susan Cahill and husband James of Norwood, Massachusetts; Janice Drew and husband Steven of Gorham; Steven Harnois and wife Joy of Shrewsbury, Massachusetts; Carolyn Starks and husband Michael of Holden; Stephanie Aham and husband Craig of Westbrook; and John Harnois of Hull, Massachusetts.  Debbie had fifteen great nieces and nephews as well. Debbie's family would like to express their gratitude to the staff members at Maine Medical Center and St. Joseph's Manor for the compassionate care given to Debbie over the past month.   Visiting hours will be held Sunday July 1, from 6 to 8 PM. Funeral services will be held at Blais and Hay Funeral Home Monday at 10:30 AM. Internment will take place in Saint Hyacinth's Cemetery directly following the service.
