Obituary

Debra J. Clark, 61, of Eustis, passed away on January 24, 2021 at Gosnell Hospice House surrounded by her family. She was born in Westbrook on May 13, 1959. Debra was a caregiver by nature. She found great joy in taking care of children, not only her own, but her friends & neighbors as well. Debra cherished the time she spent with her children and especially her grandchildren. When Debra was 12 years old she met her future husband, Ronald Clark at 'The Farm'. They married on April 19, 1975. The two went on to raise two children together. Throughout the years Debra worked various jobs but her most cherished job was to stay at home taking care of her family. She enjoyed the simple things like cooking family meals, gardening and even doing dishes. She was also very active, and conscious of her health. She was a lifelong member of Weight Watchers and loved a good walk or kayak trip down the river. In 2019 Debra and Ronald moved permanently to their home in Eustis where she was able to spend a lot of time doing some of her favorite things; hunting, kayaking and fishing. Debra also had a love for animals, especially her dog Pee Wee who was never far from her side. She liked taking trips to a casino and especially liked playing BINGO where she made several good friends. She will be remembered for her kind, generous and positive spirit that lit up a room. Debra will most of all be remembered for her compassion, love and dedication to her children and grandchildren. Debra is survived by her husband of 45 years, Ronald Clark, her children; Rhonda, and her husband Dwight Doucette, their children Darian, Camren and Destiny of Westbrook, Ronald Jr., his wife Melissa, their children Kaitlyn and Dylan Clark of Lyman. She is also survived by her siblings, Phil, Diane, Larry, Georgia Anne, Craig and Mike; her lifelong friends Norman and Cheryl Parker of Hollis, and many nieces, nephews and friends. She is predeceased by her beloved mother, Leona Meserve Bailey in 2003; siblings, Linda, Gary and Jeff. A private Celebration of Life is being planned for the Springtime. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Debra's name to your local food pantry, or to the Animal Welfare Society.
