David A. Tanguay, formerly of Westbrook passed away Monday, January 27, 2014 at his home in Jennings, FL. He was born in Westbrook, the son of Rose (Arsenault) and Raoul Tanguay. He was raised in Westbrook and attended Westbrook schools. He enlisted in the US Marine Corp and served two terms in Vietnam as Lance Corporal. He was involved in combat during his first term, his second term he served as Military Police. He was employed at Portland Records for several years. In 1997 he moved to Jennings, FL. David had a passion for writing. He enjoyed being a published writer and poet through SearchWarp, an internet writers club. He had many followers that enjoyed his articles and will miss reading them. David also found great joy in listening to Johnny Cash music. He is survived by his siblings Robert and wife Naoko Tanguay of Jennings, FL, Priscilla and husband Phil Moulton of Limington, Don and wife Charlene Tanguay of Windham, Roland Tanguay of Jennings, FL, Camil Tanguay of Westbrook, Germaine Phinney of Limington, Mike and wife Barbara Tanguay of Limington; and several nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be held from 4 to 6 PM Friday at Blais & Hay Funeral Home, 35 Church St., Westbrook. A funeral service will follow at 6 PM.
