Little Sebago – David P. Phillips, 52, passed away unexpectedly on June 30, 2014. He was born on May 19, 1962 to Kathryn E. (Anderson) Phillips and the late Paul E. Phillips, Jr. He was raised and educated in Westbrook and a graduate of Westbrook High School Class of 1980. He worked locally for a while before he enlisted in the Army on January 15, 1982. His most memorable time served was in Germany. After serving four years in the Army, he worked for Weyerhauser Container Company until they closed, Homans Associates, and ERI Passive Power. For a few years, he also ran his own small landscaping business. He resided on Little Sebago Lake since early 2003, where he loved spending time in the cove, on the boat, snowmobiling and with his closest friends that often stopped by to visit. He was a huge New England sports fan and had a love of racing. He spent several years on a crew at Beechridge and was one of NASCAR's faithful followers. Known to all of us as "Bubba" he was quiet, reserved, and often stood on the sidelines just taking it all in. On many occasions he surprised us by breaking down a dance move or singing us a song, that came out of nowhere. He was predeceased by his grandparents, his father Paul E. Phillips, Jr. in 2002, and his daughter Kailah Elise Phillips in 1990. David is survived by his mother Kathryn E. Phillips, his daughter Loralee J. Phillips, his sister Karen M. Phillips and her husband James Potter, and nephew Will Potter all of Windham. He also leaves behind many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and friends. . A visiting hour will be held from 11 AM to 12 Noon on Monday, July 7, followed by a funeral service at Noon. Interment with military honors will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
