Obituary

David Thomas Kutchmarick 54, of Gorham passed away Tuesday, November 6 at the Springbrook Nursing Home. David was born in Hazleton, Pennsylvania, the son of Thomas and Yolanda (Chervik) Kutchmarick.  He was raised in Pennsylvania, traveled the world, and moved to Maine 15 years ago. David attended Penn State University, Lehigh University, the University of Wisconsin, and the University of Maine.  He worked as a Mathematical, Chemical, and Electrical Engineer for Cray Inc., LAM Research and Idexx. David was part of the team that patented the Analog to Digital Converter and Method of Fabrication, which he took great pride in. He also was a member of the Free Masons, the Lutheran Brotherhood, and the Slovak Association. David was known by his family for his great sarcastic wit, brutal honesty, and his unusual displays of compassion.  He enjoyed fixing anything, news and politics, animals, cars, investing, traveling, fine cuisine, and most of all his family. David is survived by his mother Yolanda Kutchmarick of Hazleton PA, his daughter Erika Alexandria Kutchmarick and son Aleksandr David Kutchmarick, both of Gorham, and the mother of his children and best friend Judy Kutchmarick.
