It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of David Mark Dickson CPO, USCG retired, a cherished father, dedicated friend, and all-around good guy, who left us on September 26, 2026, at the age of 72. Born on April 29, 1954 in Hanover MA., later during his formative years moving to East Sandwich, Cape Cod. Dave was a man of many passions and an even bigger heart. Dave had a lifelong love for working on and restoring old cars, pouring his time and talent into reviving these classic beauties. Whether it was polishing chrome or tinkering under the hood, he found joy in every turn of the wrench. His other great loves included hitting the beach, where he spent countless hours soaking up the sun and casting lines, fishing for stripers and sharing stories with friends.

Dave entered the USCG in 1975 and served proudly for 23 years. The month after retirement he started as Building and Grounds supervisor for the Town of Windham where he worked hard for 19 years. He was widely respected as a supervisor and mentor to those who worked under him. A hard worker through and through, David always put his family first, providing for them and showing up as a steady and loving presence in their lives. He had an adventurous spirit, and his travels took him 48 states driving his 40’ Class A motorhome, creating a treasure trove of memories along the way. He also often traveled to Mexico and many Caribbean Islands David's warmth and character touched everyone who knew him. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of sharing a moment or two with him. David is survived by his wife Linda, daughter, Kristia Dickson, son, Corey Dickson; Sisters Gail Staples and Linda Carpenter (James); Grandchildren Savannah Dickson, Nadia Dickson, Lauryn Dickson, Jaxson Dickson and his “little bud” Nicholas Dickson; his beloved, constantly attached to his hip, Black Lab, Thelma; Loyal and caring friends Chipper Quatrano and The “Gumshoes”

He was predeceased by his parents Herbert and Susie (Adams) Dickson. Brother Peter Dickson. Son, Joshua David Dickson. Memorial services will be held at 12:00 pm on Saturday October 3, 2026, at Dolby Blais and Segee, 434 River Road, Windham. Family and friends are invited to join us before the Service at 11:00 am for Visitation as we share our favorite stories, memories, and a few laughs, just as David would have wanted. Burial and celebration of life will be at a later date
