David Wayne Baker, Windham – David W. Baker, 47, went to be with his Heavenly Father on Monday, September 23, 2024, at his home in Windham. David was born in Lewiston, Maine on July 30, 1977, the son of Wayne A. Baker and Gail A. Baker. David graduated from Lisbon High School, Class of 1995. He was employed in the hospitality industry, most recently as a chef for Embassy Suites Hotel for the past 17 years. David was a devoted father who loved living life with his daughter. He enjoyed playing frisbee disc golf, snowboarding and axe throwing with his daughter and friend, Harry. David was a born again Christian who loved Jesus and sharing his faith with others. He is survived by his daughter, Maria Ann Baker "Peanut", his mother, Gail Baker, his two sisters, Sheryl L. Doiron and Tanya M. Scherer and brother-in-law, Rick A. Scherer. He is also survived and loved by nieces and nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins and friends. A celebration of life will be held at Embassy Suites Hotel in by Jetport 1050 Westbrook St, Portland, ME 04102 from 1:00-3:00pm on Sunday, September 29, 2024. Come as you are, not formal.
