Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Daniel Lee Meserve, a cherished son, father, brother, brother-in-law, and friend. Born on March 19, 1970, in Portland, Maine, Daniel left us far too soon on August 21, 2026.

Daniel was a master woodcrafter and was employed at Aubin Woodworking in Bow, NH. His artistic woodcrafting skills were only rivaled by his passion for being outdoors. He cherished hunting and loved spending time in nature, often seen riding his beloved Kubota tractor. His work in custom design not only reflected his dedication to his craft but also showcased his immense talent and creativity.

He was also known for his unwavering commitment to his community. He proudly served as a volunteer firefighter in the towns of East Windham and Standish, where he had the honor of serving as Chief. His bravery and selflessness touched the lives of many, and he will be remembered for his generosity and kind spirit.

Daniel was preceded in death by his father, David I. Meserve, brother Dale L. Meserve, and sister Kathy Jaques.

He is survived by his cherished son, Dillon Meserve and his wife, Kaitlyn; daughters Moriah and Morgan; loving mother Linda Soucier; devoted sister Dianna Miller and her husband, Michael; brother David Meserve; sisters Elizabeth Meserve and Ella Rundin; and many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Daniel’s life at a Memorial Service that will be held on September 5, 2026, at 1p.m. at Dolby, Blais & Segee, 434 River Road, Windham, ME. A reception will follow at Michael & Dianna Miller’s home, 53 Cottage Road, Windham, ME, providing an opportunity for all to share memories and honor the incredible man he was. The family requests that you park in the church parking lot across from the reception address.

Daniel will be deeply missed but forever remembered in our hearts. Rest easy, dear friend.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Heart Association in Daniel’s memory.
