Gorham Daniel A. Bernard, 71, died Tuesday May 22, 2018, at his home. He was born September 18, 1946, in Rumford, a son of Albert and Rita (Lemieux) Bernard. Dan grew up in Westbrook and was a 1964 graduate of Westbrook High School, where he was a member of the Platinum Knights Auto Club. He had a passion for being outdoors, landscaping, gardening, and enjoyed snowmobiling, hunting, fishing, and especially boating. Dan enjoyed his paradise getaways on Sebago Lake and in Punta Gorda, Florida. The times he cherished most were those spent with his family and friends. Dan was predeceased by his parents. He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years Pauline(Lampron) Bernard; children, David Bernard and his fiancé Tina Goan of Gorham, and Corrie Sweeney and her husband John of Waterboro; sister, Peggy Wolf of Westbrook; grandchildren Dominick, Dela, Emma, Maxwell, Mikayla and her husband Matt, Emily and Abi; and great grandchildren, Anastasia and Autumn. A celebration of Dan's life will be held June 30th from 1 pm to 5 pm with informal memorial at 3 pm at 104 Stroudwater, Street Westbrook.
