Portland-     Dana Bartlett Mayo III, 78, passed away suddenly in his home on April 26, 2016.  Born in Portsmouth, NH to Dana Mayo Jr and Daisy (Frost) Mayo, he attended Portland Area Schools, graduating from South Portland High School.            Always a hard worker, Dana made his living in the accounting field, working his way up to controller of West Chester Hospital in New York.           An outdoor enthusiast he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Phyllis (Everett Littlefield) Mayo, children, Dana B. Mayo IV of Buxton, Deena May Bruns of Cape Elizabeth, Daneen Mayo Cipriano of Limerick and 5 grandsons; sisters Nathalie Schildroth of Scarborough, and Geraldine Virgilio of Cape Elizabeth.           A graveside service will be held at Comery Cemetery, in Waldoboro ME in May.  Online condolences can be expressed at blaisandhayfuneralhome.com
