Cyrilla Dobkowski passed away at Mercy Hospital on January 15, 2016 with her devoted family at her side after a long struggle with COPD. Cyrilla was born in Caribou and raised in the St. John Valley on a potato farm. She attended Wisdom High School in St. Agatha and was a graduate of St. Joseph's College in Standish. Cyrilla was a dedicated and caring Special Education teacher at Windham High School for 25 years where she helped many students reach their potential. Cyrilla's family and friends were extremely important to her. Cyrilla felt it was an honor and privilege to help others. She took pride in making her house a home. Cyrilla's interests included cooking, sewing, reading & history. Cyrilla also enjoyed attending her grandson's many athletic games. Cyrilla is survived by her loving husband Bruce, sons Michael and Stephen, her brother Michael as well as grandchildren Maxim, Isiah, and Scarlett. A memorial service will be held at the Blais & Hay Funeral Home in Westbrook on February 5 at 5:00 pm followed by a church service at St. Anthony's in Westbrook on February 6 at 11:00 am.
