WESTBROOK - Cynthia Agnes Morrill, 68, passed away peacefully on July 28, 2021 at Gosnell Memorial Hospice in Scarborough after a courageous two-year battle with cancer. Cynthia was born on December 18, 1952 in Westbrook, to parents Raymond and Anne Marie "Paulette" (Legere) Morrill. She was a graduate of Westbrook High School and had attended Southern Maine Community College. Cynthia was a faithful Catholic, and was a long-time member of Saint Hyacinth Church of Westbrook. She was previously employed for 15 years at Health-Tex, and finished her career working 27 years for Hanover Insurance. She was a skilled knitter, photographer, and baker. She could often be found knitting a baby blanket for family, taking holiday photos, or baking her famous kiss cookies. She enjoyed vacationing in Florida, country music, and loved bargain shopping for gifts for her family and friends. Cynthia was a caring, humorous, and charitable woman who will be missed by many. In addition to her parents, Cynthia was predeceased by her brothers, Michael Morrill, Raymond Morrill, and Steven Morrill. She is survived by her sister, Patricia Stuart of Portland; brother-in-law, Frederick Stuart of Westbrook; sister-in-law, Mary Morrill of Westbrook; step-sister, Mary Ann Jeannette of Humboldt, IA; niece, Cara Ratliffe and husband, Richard Ratliffe of Fremont, NH; nephew, Brendon Morrill of Westbrook; nephew, Jeremy Stuart of Westbrook; niece, Jen Stuart of Brunswick; beloved grand-nieces, Mary and Sophia Ratliffe; and many cousins, extended family, and friends. Cynthia's family would like to thank Dr. Laurie Small, Dr. Eric Mukai, as well as Gosnell Memorial Hospice for the care and support they have provided. A Catholic burial will be held, 10:00 a.m., August 28, 2021 at Saint Hyacinth Cemetery, 296 Stroudwater Street, Westbrook, ME 04092. A Celebration of Life is to follow at the Unity Lodge Odd Fellows Hall, 179 Ridgeland Avenue, South Portland, ME 04106. Family and friends are invited to attend and bring a dish to share.
