WESTBROOK-- Corinne Marie Martin Larrivee "Memere", passed peacefully at the age of 99 on December 15, 2019. She was born on August 15, 1920, the daughter of Peter & Marie Martin of Madawaska, ME. Corinne was the wife of the late Arthur Larrivee and is survived by her son Rodney Larrivee & wife Carol of Willimantic, CT, daughters Nancy (Kirkland) Larrivee of Little Rock, AR & Debra (Larrivee) Bodlovick of Westbrook, ME, 12 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren & 10 great-great grandchildren. Corinne, as a young mother, cared for 22 state babies for many years and was a devoted catholic of St. Mary's & St Hyacinth's church of Westbrook. She and her late husband Arthur, of 51 years, spent many of their summers at their camp on Forest Lake with friends & family. Card games, laughter and camp stories were memorable moments spent at camp. In her later years you couldn't visit without a game or two or three of Skip Bo before leaving. During the winter months Corinne hosted Sunday dinners for the family, her meatballs were to die for, played poker with her friends and family and spent time with the grandchildren doing ceramics and knitting. She & Arthur loved to travel and spent a month touring Europe with their daughter Nancy and her family. Camping and long drives to Madawaska were also frequent. In her last years she enjoyed being around her little grandchildren who always put that little twinkle in her eyes as well as reminiscing over stories from the past. Corinne had a heart of gold and just loved her family so much. The family will hold a Celebration of Life for Corinne (Memere) on Monday, December23rd from 5pm-8pm at Great Scott Family Diner. All are welcome to stop by to share memories. Lite fare and beverages will be available.
