GRAY-- Connie Mallia Shepardson, age 66 left this world on Wednesday March 11th 2020. She was born in Portland, Maine on January 28th 1954 to John and Mildred "Millie" Mallia. Connie met the love her life Jim Shepardson and they were Married November 21st 1998. Jim was there to the very last breath and took such amazing care of her during their time together that was cut too short. Connie was an amazing person who loved to work on her flower gardens and watch the birds in her back yard. Jim was continually building more and more bird feeders for their back yard in their home in Gray, Maine to keep the many variety of birds coming back. She especially enjoyed the Oriole's that showed up on or around Mother's Day. She enjoyed the occasional trip to the casino where she would almost always win. She also enjoyed her lottery scratch tickets as well. Her amazing luck at the casino carried over to these tickets. Many have tried to figure out how she did it but that secret passed along with her. She also loved spending time with her dogs and they loved her very much. Often, they would nap together and they would just lay on top of her to make sure she felt their love. What Connie (mom) enjoyed the most was taking care of people. She was there for everyone and would do whatever was needed to make their lives better. It could be caring for a loved one in their time of need or something as simple as a ride to an appointment. She had a way to make everyone feel loved even though she may be giving you one of her famous Connie/Mom looks at the same time. Anyone that knew her knows exactly what we are talking about. She loved to spend time with her family especially her grandchildren and great children. She always wanted more and more of this. As the time for her to move on was nearing, the stories that were being told about the amazing things she did were truly heartwarming. One thing that came up during these talks many in the family thought they were special because she was reaching out to them each and every day with a message. Imagine our surprise to find out that most of us friends and family were receiving these messages. We realized the special one was actually her for being so caring to all of us. Before her retirement she worked for Cumberland Farms for 33 years. She attacked her job with an amazing work ethic while again showing how much she cared by going above and beyond to take care of her employees and customers. Connie is survived by her husband, Jim Shepardson; children, John Mallia and his wife Kirsten, Angela Mallia Pratt and Hollis Pratt Jr. and his wife Darlene; step daughter, Amanda Campbell and her husband Lawrence; grandchildren Kyle Boisot and his wife Stephanie, Johnny Mallia and his wife Chelsea, Alex Hawthorne, Zachery Mallia, Alyssa Pratt Hawthorne, Gretchen Discatio, Colby and Dylan Pratt and Lennox Campbell; great grandchildren, Sophia and Josie Boisot and Parker Hawthorne; siblings, Mary Bouchard and her husband Bob, Joe Meyers, Joanna Mallia and Lori Thayer and her husband Chuck and so many loving nieces and nephews She was preceded by her Mother Mildred "Millie" Mallia and her Father John Mallia along with her sister Sheila Rolfe and her husband Dickie Rolfe.
