Claudette E. Judkins, 78 Falmouth – Claudette E. Judkins, 78, a longtime resident of Falmouth, passed away peacefully in her home, on the early morning of Christmas. Claudette was born the oldest of six children to Bernard and Eunice (Fontaine) Sparks in Presque Isle, on December 25, 1938. In the early 70's, Claudette and her husband Derwood, ran the volunteer Falmouth Emergency Medical Team. Even with their family commitments and Derwood's full time job, they responded to calls at all times of the day and night. Also, during this time, she started as a reserve dispatcher for Falmouth which led to her being hired full time. Claudette made a career in dispatching for police, fire and EMS. She retired in the 1990's after many years of dedicated service to the town of Falmouth. Claudette was loved by everyone that had the privilege to work with her. She loved the outdoors mountain climbing, motorcycling, and was the patriarch of her family. She was also a member of the Cumberland County Square Dancers, and the American Legion Auxiliary post 62. She will be missed by everyone. Claudette is survived by her beloved husband of 61 years, Derwood Judkins, and also leaves behind her two children, Debra and Stephen Kasvich of Windham, Ct and Michael and Beth Judkins of Falmouth; four grandchildren, Cassandra Keller, Brian Judkins, Jennifer Flaherty, and Christina May; and 5 great grandchildren. The family would like to thank the employees of Home Health Care, who lovingly cared for Claudette for the last few months. A graveside service will be celebrated at 11AM on Thursday, December 29, 2016, at Brooklawn Memorial Park, 2002 Congress St., Portland . In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Claudette's honor to the Pride's Corner Congregational Church, 235 Pride St., Westbrook, ME 04092.
