BUXTON - Christine S. Keniston, 73, of Buxton died at home Monday, January 18, 2016 with family by her side. She was born in Buckinghamshire, England to Petain and Eileen Harris and she attended University in London, England. Christine came to the United States in 1965 where she taught elementary school until she got married and began her family. While raising her family, Christine volunteered at the elementary school, the library, taught Sunday School and was involved in many other church and community activities. She also enjoyed her garden, quilting and knitting and became a US citizen in December 2013. Christine will be remembered by her husband of 49 years, Lloyd P. Keniston, Jr., her two sisters and brother and their families in England; her four children, Samantha, Ian, Jared, Garrett and their spouses; eleven grandchildren, Timmy, Tyler, Deanna, Ryan, John, Emma, Luke, Ben, Ava, Ellie, Meredith and one great-grandchild River Rose. A Celebration of Life service will be held at Cressey Road United Methodist Church, 81 Cressey Road, Gorham on Saturday, January 30, 2016 at 10:30am.
