CHRISTIE M. SPRAGUE, 77, WINDHAM: Christie M. (Lewis) Sprague passed away peacefully at home November 13, 2018. Christie was born in Coos AL to Olnie and Maudie Lewis and had six siblings: Dannie, Patsy, Larry, Kenny, Gail and Ricky. She was born and raised in Alabama and met David Sprague in Montgomery, AL when he was stationed at Maxwell Air Force base. She and David were married in Mississippi. She was the mother of three boys, David, Kenneth and James. She and David moved to Maine after the birth of their first child David. She was a devoted wife and mother, raising 3 boys who were involved in Motocross racing, traveling weekends to various race tracks throughout New England. She always welcomed her children's friends into her home. She was a fantastic cook, displaying her southern roots in special dishes and always making sure her family was well fed. She worked at various jobs such as Sylvania, Lakeland Variety, Ventrex Laboratories and as a driver for Regional Transportation. She went to the family car lot every day to help out until the business was sold in 2002. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, David Sprague, her son James Sprague and wife Annette, a granddaughter Kristen, a grandson Edward, and a great granddaughter Mika. She is pre-deceased by her son's David and Kenneth. A loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. A sweet soul who is dearly missed. A celebration of life will be held on November 24, 2018 from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm at Rustler's Steakhouse, Windham, Me.
