WESTBROOK-- Christian William Jensen Jr., 83, passed away on November 6, 2018 at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough, Maine from complications of Lymphoma. He was born on March 10, 1935 in Portland, Maine to parents Christian W. and Marjorie (Burrows) Jensen Sr.. Chris grew up on his parent's farm on the Methodist Road in Westbrook and graduated from Westbrook High School in 1953. After high school, he attended the University of Southern Maine studying business while working for S.D. Warren Paper Mill in Westbrook. After 41 years of employment, Chris retired as a supervisor in the finishing department. He attained the rank of Sergeant of Troop A 103rd Armored Calvary Regiment after serving three tours at the Stevens Ave. Armory in Portland Maine National Guard from 1953 to 1959. Chris attended Crossroads Community Church in Gray and volunteered at the Bread of Life Food Pantry there for several years. Chris had a passion for automobiles and enjoyed tinkering on vehicles and doing small engine repair. He will be remembered for his quick wit and great sense of humor; always making others laugh and smile. He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Sharon "Sherri" Jensen of Westbrook, foster daughter, Santana Levier, daughter Lori Anthony and her husband Stephen, son Larry Jensen and his wife Mary, son Christian Jensen III, step children Sharon Harmon, Stan Dugas, Brian Dugas; grandchildren, Alexander Jensen and his wife Carrie, and Haley and Ashley Jensen; and two great grandchildren; and a brother, Joseph Jensen and his wife Helen of Westbrook. Chris was predeceased by his first wife Theresa Jensen; second wife Barbara Jensen; a step son, Marshall Dugas; siblings, Peter, Robert and Margaret Dearborn. The family wishes to thank the staff and volunteers of Hospice of Southern Maine for providing excellent care during the last twelve months. Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 11, 2018 from 2pm to 4pm at the Westbrook Chapel of Dolby Blais & Segee, 35 Church St., Westbrook, ME 04092. A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 12 at 11am at the Crossroads Community Church, 14 Lewiston Road, Gray, ME 04039. Burial will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery, Stroudwater Street in Westbrook at a later date.
