Windham, Maine – Cheryl A (Gagnon) Skillin, 69, of Windham, Me. passed away at her home on Friday, May 30th, 2025. Born on September 30, 1955, she was the daughter of the late Rodolph P. and Beverly A. (Blanchard) Gagnon. A graduate of Windham High Class of '73, Cheryl remained in Windham, a town which she loved. After attending Andover Community College, she went on to work for Dunn and Bradstreet and as a para legal for Attorney at Law Thomas Dyhrberg P.A. until her retirement. It was on a small family-farm she discovered her love of nature. Her life was filled with the love of birds, flowers and animals. She enjoyed the holidays – proudly displaying holiday lights and decorations, as she, herself dressed in decorative holiday tee-shirts and matching earrings for others to enjoy! This was her way of making others happy and breaking the ice with others she met. Most of all, Cheryl was a fighter! Always an optimist, she fought a valiant 7-year cancer battle, which left others in awe. She didn't want sympathy – she didn't need it. Despite her health issues, she greeted each day as a new opportunity to buy more flowers! Her life path was filled with wonderful neighbors and her talented medical family. Through this courageous fight, she met so many angels in the medical field, all showing her true compassion and encouragement. The family wants to thank the wonderful people at NE Cancer Specialists and Dana Farber – for the years of dedication and love. Thank you to her close friend, Cindy Jacques, who was always by her side. She will be deeply missed by her two surviving siblings and their families. Sister, Brenda L.
