Cheryl Anne Rubito (Diggins),57, of Lewiston peacefully passed away Wednesday The 26th of May with her family by her side. Cheryl was born July 29th, 1963 in Portland, Maine. Cheryl enjoyed reading, cross stitch, spending time with her family and friends, playing card games, Doing crafts, watching every Christmas movie she could ever find, and a good country song. Although a woman of few words she was never shy when it came to bragging about "her girls" or "her grand babies". Cheryl worked for Maine Health, prior to her illness. Cheryl Survived by her daughter Candy of Gray ME, her daughter Cathy and her wife Candice of Fruitland Park, FL, the highlight of her life, her grandchildren, Lena and Logan. Her friend and former husband Mark, of Lady Lake, FL. Her brother "Bub" of Sanford, Her sister Glennis and her husband Richard of Westbrook, Her brother Sandy, of Néw Glouster, her best friends and roommates Violet Parker and Becca Reynolds. Many nieces and nephews, and cousins, and an uncountable amount of friends. Cheryl was predeceased by both parents, and her best friend and big sister Thelma, and her brother Ernie. Cheryl's family would like to thank the staff at MMC CICU, Palliative Care team as well as her regular doctors for all of their thoughtfulness and care throughout her many visits and over the course of the last 20 years. A celebration of life will be held in September.
