WESTBROOK – Charlene Louise Thuotte, 94, of Westbrook passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 6, 2024. Charlene was born in Auburn on September 12, 1930, to Hazel (DeCoster) and John Devoe. She grew up in Auburn and graduated from Edward Little High School. In 1959 she married Robert Thuotte, moved to Westbrook, and raised three children. Charlene enjoyed playing tennis, skiing, and playing bridge when she was younger. She also enjoyed crocheting and knitting. Charlene was an amazing mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and best friend. She was kind, caring, loving, and full of fun. She will be greatly missed by her family. Charlene was predeceased by her husband Robert, her mother Hazel, her father John, her sisters, Doris, Millie, and Ruth. She is survived by her three children, Michael Thuotte, Stephen Thuotte, daughter Susan Thuotte; four grandchildren, Marc Thuotte, Brian Thuotte, Karen Thuotte, and Jake Farrell; daughter-in-law Cindy Thuotte; and five great granddaughters. The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to Hospice of Southern Maine for the care given to Charlene. Visiting hours will be held 4:30PM – 7:00PM Thursday October 10, 2024, at the Westbrook Chapel of Dolby, Blais & Segee, 35 Church Street, Westbrook. A private family graveside service will be held at a later date.
