Cecil A. "Chuck" Mowatt, Jr., 71 Windham passed away September 16, 2024 at his home after a long illness. He was born January 5, 1953 in Portland. The son of Cecil and Mildred (Trott) Mowatt. Living in and around Portland until moving with his family to Windham in 2000, Chuck had worked for B&M Baked Beans for 28 years, retiring in 2011. For some retirement can be a difficult transition, but not for Chuck. He loved it. From day one he enjoyed going up to camp to do some snowmobiling and four-wheeling with his brothers David and Kevin, as well as fishing, and moose hunting with them. Spending time with his grandparents up to the "farm" in Bridgton was one of his favorite things to do. The family reunions were held up there with softball games and horseshoes. He loved golfing with his friends Sygi, Mike, Norm and Dave. Hanging out in the back yard with family and the grandkids was something he'd always look forward to. Chuck is survived by his wife of 47 years Janet (West) Mowatt of Windham; his son Matthew Mowatt currently living in France; three grandsons, Michael, Morgan and Max; two great grandchildren, Emma and Lukis; his brother David Mowatt and his wife Sherry of Buxton; his sister Vicki Farr and her husband Bruce of Westbrook; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his son, Michael Mowatt and his brother Kevin Mowatt. Visiting hours will be Saturday September 28, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. followed by the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. at Dolby, Blais & Segee Funeral Home, 434 River Road, Windham.
