Carolyn Jean (Kloza) Towle

Carolyn Jean (Kloza) Towle, 44, died unexpectedly September 16, 2026, riding her motorcycle. She was born Jan. 28, 1982, in Portland Maine, the daughter of Edward M. and Kristyne A. (Krawzun) Kloza.

Carolyn graduated from Catherine McAuley High School, Class of 2001. After graduation she studied Culinary Arts and Restaurant Management at Southern Maine Community College in South Portland. In 2005, Carolyn was engaged to her husband, David Towle, and they settled in Standish before getting married on October 14, 2006 and moving to Gorham. Carolyn worked for MaineHealth as a Senior Systems Analyst in the Health Information Management department. Carolyn had an incredible gift of cake making. Her creations were far more than desserts; they were expressions of her creativity, generosity, and love. Carolyn was active in her community, spending lots of time at the Gorham Youth Football games, where she was the Vice President of the football Board for multiple years and later the President for a few months. Carolyn volunteered at Standish Fire Department for a number of years before meeting her husband.

Surviving in addition to her parents, Edward and Kristyne (Krawzun) Kloza, and husband, David Towle, is her daughter, Annabelle Towle, and her son, Lucas Towle; her siblings, Alex and his wife, Jocelyn (Mertz) Kloza, Kaitlyn Stanley and her husband, Ryan Conner, and Kayla Stanley, and many nieces, nephews, aunts and cousins. The family thanks the staff of Dolby Blais & Segee Funeral Home, Windham, for taking such great care of Carolyn while she was there.

There will be a Celebration of Life held in Carolyn’s name on Saturday, October 3rd, 2026 at Cressey Road Christian Church at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to be made in Carolyn’s name to the Wounded Warrior Project.
