PORTLAND - Carlton (Bud) Baldwin, 88, passed away January 30, 2016 at the Maine Veterans Home Scarborough. He was born on October 25, 1927 in Portland to Carlton and Shirley Baldwin. Bud joined the Navy after graduating from Deering High and served in WWII and the Korean War. He was employed for 19 years by DuPont Company in Bangor, Maine. Bud returned to Portland and became self employed as C.W. Baldwin and Son Plumbing and Heating.Bud and his wife Dolly enjoyed summers at Highland Lake, winters in Sarasota Fl., cruises, and socializing at The Village Café and Parker's. He loved spending time with his family and was always happy to see everyone. Family and friends were always welcome at the Baldwin's. He was predeceased by his parents and sister, Barbara DeWaters. Surviving is his wife of 67 years Dolores (Dolly), and their children, Sharon Davis, Susan Swan and husband Stephen, son Michael Baldwin, grandchildren Chris Davis (Nicole), Lisa Paradis, Laura Larrivee (Paul), Stacey Hussey (Brandon), Kelley Peabbles (Michael), Monika and Marena Baldwin and 11 great grandchildren. The family would like to thank the very special staff at Maine Veterans Home, Scarborough for their compassion and loving care. Per Bud's request, there will be no services.
