STANDISH - Carline Young, 92, of Standish died on January 9, 2017, peacefully, with her loving family by her side. Carline is survived by one sister Ruth Webster, of Gorham. Two children: Karen Murray, of Virginia; Greg Young, of Saco. She is also survived by four grandchildren: Caleb and Sarah Young, of Saco; Diana London, of East Baldwin; Angela Hamann of New Gloucester and three great grandchildren, Lucienne and Hendrik Hamann, and Ben London. Affectionately called Nannie and Aunt Keen, Carline was born on January 28, 1925 to Alice and William of Gorham. Along with her late brothers Clark and Bill and late sisters Jeanne and Faye. Carline was a long time active member at the First Baptist Church. She remained devoted to her faith until the end. Carline cherished the "Coffee Day" tradition she shared with her family. Gathering every Tuesday for 30 plus years with her sisters, brothers, friends, and many extended family. To chat, catch up, eat donuts, and watch the little ones play. Carline was a part time banker in Westbrook. She married the late Earl Young a long-standing math teacher in the Saco school system. Her and her husband Earl often traveled to Florida in their camper. There are many pictures of her travels, a gleeful smile on her face, her faithful, loving husband by her side. Carline was a wonderfully kind person. She possessed a warm, loving heart, and was extremely giving with her time and energy. She loved her family. Her spirit, smiles, hugs, and generosity will be sorely missed. An hour of visitation will be held Sunday, January 15, 2017 from 1:30pm – 2:30pm at the Dolby Funeral Chapel, 76 State Street, Gorham followed by a 2:30pm funeral service at the chapel. A celebration of life reception will follow at Sebago Brewing Company, 201 Southborough Drive, Scarborough, ME.
