Old Orchard Beach – Carl Dana Sawyer, 58, of Ross Rd. passed away Thursday  August 1, after a battle with cancer. He was born in Portland, the son of William A. and Margaret F. Baker Sawyer. Carl was raised locally and was a graduate of Bonny Eagle High School. He had been employed by the Old Orchard Waste Water Co. Carl was an avid coin collector, he was a car buff and enjoyed NASCAR . He is survived by 2 daughters Kelsie and Jennifer Sawyer of Dayton, ME., 4 brothers Richard and wife Jan Sawyer of Oxford, Eugene and wife Chris Fitzgerald of Raymond, N.H., Dennis and wife Judith Fitzgerald of Tewksbury, MA., Clyde Sawyer of CA., sisters Nancy and husband Marty Toderico of Scarborough, Linda and husband Bob Batchelor of Dover-Foxcroft, sister in law Jacqueline Sawyer of Lewiston and many nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be held Wednesday Aug. 7, from 11:00 a.m. until the start of the Memorial Services at 1:00 p.m. at the Blais & Hay Funeral Home 35 Church St. Westbrook. Interment will follow in Gray Village Cemetery.
