Obituary

OXFORD - Cady Raylyn Day, 33, of Oxford Maine, passed away at Maine Medical Center on October 20, 2025. She was born September 15, 1992, in Portland Maine to Raymond A. Strout and Claudia Marie Day-Strout. Cady was a beautiful and vibrant soul. She loved to spend time with her best friends Kris and Josephine. She loved to travel and went on many adventures including going to Alaska with her cousin Rebecca, and traveling with her mom to the Bahamas and to Las Vegas. Cady worked at the Oxford Casino for several years as a card dealer and loved her job. Cady was a cheerleader for the Oxford Hills Vikings, she started this in 4th grade, while she wasn't a cheerleader in adulthood, she still carried that energy with her by singing and dancing whenever she could. Her mom, Claudia, describes Cady as being her best friend. Cady is predeceased by her dad, Raymond A. Strout of Oxford, grandparents Dorothy and James Day of Westbrook, grandparents Lillian Ricker and Robert Strout of Westbrook, Uncle James Day Jr. of Westbrook, and Pop-Pop Charles Morris of Delaware. Cady is also reunited with her beloved rottweiler Daja. She is survived by her mom Claudia Day-Strout of Oxford, Aunt Dana and Uncle Darren Dyer of Poland, Aunt Theresa Strout, Aunt Leigh-Ann Day of Sebago, her bonus Aunts and Uncles from Delaware, Uncle Shawn and Aunt Nikki Day of Biddeford, James day of Delaware, her bonus Sister Jessica Morris and Uncle Mike, and her cousins Serena Bissonnette, Keli Rae Strout, Michael Anthony Morris, Michaela Marie Morris, Rebecca Day, Rusty Day, Kaylee, Kasey-Jo, Dakota, Jacob, Chris, and several more cousins and all of her beloved friends. She is also survived by her other rottweiler Harley. Visiting hours will be held Sunday October 26th, 4 p.m. - 6 p.m. at Dolby Blais and Segee Funeral Home, 35 Church Street, Westbrook, ME 04092. A graveside service will be held at Mayberry Cemetery, off of Park Road, in Windham, Maine on October 27th, at 11 a.m. where Cady will be laid to rest next to her dad. Cady was an animal lover, so in lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Animal Refuge League of Greater Portland.
