STANDISH - Brian K. Curtis passed away November 25, 2023 Brian was born January 29, 1943 to Keith W. Curtis and Lois A. Ulmer in Gardiner, Maine. He graduated from Deering High School in the class of 1961, during high school he enjoyed playing baseball. He then attended the University of Southern Maine, before ultimately deciding to join the United States Coast Guard. He served from 1964-1968 on the Coast Guard Cutter "Cook Inlet" stationed out of Portland, Maine. After he joined the United States Postal Service and was a rural letter carrier for 34 years. Working first in the South Windham Post Office and then the Sebago and Standish offices. In his free time, Brian was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying fishing and hunting. He spent many years building his house on Sebago Lake, where he enjoyed taking fishing trips in his boat, and spending time with his family and friends, sharing his quick witted humor with those around him. Brian was predeceased by his parents. He is survived by his loving wife, Pat Curtis; Son Eric K. Curtis and his wife Barbara of Arena, Wisconsin; Son Aaron J. Curtis of Thorndike, Maine; Daughter Romy J. (Curtis) McMann and her husband Michael of Groveton, New Hampshire. Grandchildren; Joshua Curtis and wife Shelby of Groveton, New Hampshire; Robert Curtis and fiancé Katelyn of Stark, New Hampshire; Shania Curtis of Fort Myers, Florida; Danielle Curtis of Wasilla, Alaska, and Lexi Curtis of Wasilla, Alaska. Sister; Karen Austin and husband Kenneth of Gray, Maine. Nephews; David Austin of Bangor, Maine and Kevin Austin of Gray, Maine. Brian is also survived by an aunt, uncle, and many cousins. Brian was also proudly anticipating the arrival of his two great-grandchildren in the coming weeks. At Brian's request, a celebration of life will be held in the spring.
