Standish Brenda Rae Long (Davis) died peacefully at her home in Standish, Maine on Saturday, August 5th at the age of 57. Brenda was born on August 6, 1959 in Portland, Maine. An active member of the marching band's color guard and an avid square dancer, Brenda graduated from Westbrook High School in 1977. Brenda was an accomplished legal assistant at Pierce Atwood LLP for over 30 years. She deeply loved both the work and people at the firm. In her free time, Brenda treasured moments with her family, watching birds in the backyard, and arranging flowers picked from the garden her husband Tim lovingly planted for her. Brenda will be remembered for her passionate work ethic, unwavering commitment to those she loved, and incredible smile. Brenda is survived by her husband Tim Davis of Standish, Maine; mother Jean "Meme" Crosby of Westbrook, Maine; son Jason and daughter-in-law Allison Long of Buckfield, Maine and grandchildren Bella and William; daughter Jessica Long of Portland, Oregon; brother Bruce Crosby and sister-in-law Beth Bernard of Westbrook, Maine and nephews Tyler, Shane and Nick; the extended Davis family; and many dear friends at Pierce Atwood LLP of Portland, Maine. Brenda is preceded in death by her father, William "Be" Crosby of Westbrook, Maine. Visiting hours will be held from 6:00-8:00 pm on Wednesday, August 9th at the Blais & Hay Funeral Home 35 Church Street Westbrook, Maine. A funeral is scheduled for 11:00 am on Thursday, August 10th at the South Portland Church of the Nazarene 525 Highland Ave, South Portland. A reception will follow.
