Brandi Marie Jackson, 36, fought a long and courageous battle with cancer, but the Lord called her home on August 24, 2016. She was born on October 9, 1979 in Portland, Maine to Charles and Julie (Rogers) Thorpe. She was the youngest child in her large family and was often teased about being the baby. As it turned out, she was the strongest and bravest of them all. Brandi was a bubbly and energetic girl from the start! She enjoyed being a part of the cheerleading squad at Bonny Eagle High School, and that positive spirit remained with her until the end. After high school, she went on to graduate from Lyndon State College in Vermont. She worked as a program director and special projects manager for Girl Scouts of America in South Portland, Maine. She also worked as an admission coordinator at St. Joseph's College in Standish, Maine, McIntosh College in Dover, NH and Tarrant County Community College in Fort Worth, Texas. On May 27, 2006, Brandi married David T. Jackson II in Casco, Maine. They had two beautiful children, Elsie Marie and David Eisenhower "Ike" who were Brandi's pride and joy. She loved being a mom and a wife and spent her time making her community a better place to live while also cementing a place in her community for her family. Brandi loved the Lord and walked with Him faithfully. She shared the love of the Lord to those that she knew and drew strength from him daily. She was active in her church at Grace Community in Newton, Kansas. Brandi never knew a stranger and once you met her, you were her friend. Brandi loved baking and cake decorating and was also an excellent cook. She was an avid Facebook user, which was her way of staying connected to family and friends, while also leaving a photo documented journal for those who loved her to look back on all the fun she had - living each day to the fullest. No matter where Brandi moved (Navy Wife!), her love for the New England Patriots never wavered. Go Pats! She is survived by her husband David T.
