WINDHAM – Beverly Rose Wallace, 65, died on November 27, 2017 with her family by her side. She was born in Portland on March 29, 1952, the daughter of Agnes (Martelle) and Howard York, Jr. Beverly grew up in Portland and was a 1970 graduate of Deering High School. After graduating she started her career at TruChoice Federal Credit Union. She worked there for over 39 years, finally retiring on June first of this year. On August 1, 1987, she married the love of her life, Scott Wallace. The pair of them enjoyed traveling, especially taking cruises. Beverly was also a NASCAR fan, loved Beech Ridge Motor Speedway, and going to Oxford Casino. She always put her family before anything else. Lovingly called Auntnee, by her nephews, she was one of a kind. Beverly was the most caring, loving, and generous person who was able to find the good in anyone. She is survived by her husband, Scott; siblings, Howard York, III and wife Jeanette of Windham, Barbara Hughes and husband Howard of Gray, and Jeffrey York and wife Suzanne of Westbrook; nephews, Timothy H. York and wife Rebecca of Bingham, Matthew R. York of Windham, Christopher R. Hughes and wife Irene of Auburn, and Ryan P. Hughes of Tampa, FL; niece, Katie DeCosta of Fremont, CA; great nephews, Landyn, Cameron, and Nolan; mother-in-law Louise W. Wallace of Gorham; close friends, Sherri Tardiff, Raymond Richardson, and Ken Acker whom she shared an extraordinary friendship with for over 30 years; and the Greenlaw family which was Bev's extended family whom she loved dearly each and every one. Visitation will be held from 6-8pm on Friday, December 1, 2017 at the Windham Chapel of Dolby, Blais & Segee, 434 River Rd., Windham, where a funeral service will be celebrated at 11am on Saturday, December 2, 2017. Burial will follow to Arlington Cemetery, Windham.
