Beverly J. Daley Beloved aunt, cousin and friend, Beverly J. Daley, 88, wife of the late John H. "Jack" Daley, passed away peacefully at her home in South Portland on Tuesday, October 3, 2017. The only child of Earle and Ethlyn Skillings, Beverly was born on January 21, 1929 in Westbrook, ME. Upon her graduation from Westbrook High School in 1922, Bev immediately went to work with her father at The Westbrook Trust Company in the business office. She worked at the trust company for several years until she began working for The Men's Shop where she worked until her retirement. Beverly and Jack loved their camp in Parsonsfield, and especially enjoyed entertaining family and close friends. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Joanne D. Clark and her husband, Ralph, of Gardiner, her three nieces, Debra Susi and husband, Michael, Mary-Jo and husband, Murray "Chipper" Stevens, and Melinda Clark. She is also survived by her cousin, Richard Hawks, his wife and their children. She will be greatly missed by her neighbors and longtime friends, Arnold and Kay Reed and Meg and Dave Sutton. Visiting hours will be held on Friday, October 6, 2017 from 10:00 – 11:00 AM, at the Westbrook Warren Congregational Church, 810 Main St. Westbrook. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Westbrook. Following the Internment, a small reception will be held in the Fellowship Hall of the Church. Services are under the care of Blais & Hay Funeral Home, Westbrook. Aunt Bev loved hummingbirds, wildlife and her dogs.
