Obituary

Windham Beverly Verrill Drown passed away peacefully on July 19th, 2023 at St. Andre Healthcare in Biddeford, Maine at the age of 92. Beverly was born in Bartlett, NH on May 26, 1931 to Lillian Norton Verrill and Arthur Verrill. Beverly graduated from Windham High School. After high school, she married her husband, Logan I Drown on July 15th, 1950. They had two daughters and lived most of their lives in Gorham, Windham and Jay, Maine. She was a devoted Christian and a faithful member of the Little Falls Baptist Church until she went to the healthcare facility in 2020. Beverly worked throughout her life at several jobs: she worked in the cafeteria in Little Falls Elementary School in Gorham, she ran a laundromat with her beloved husband. One that she recalled fondly as her favorite was her job as the cook at The Lunch Pad in Jay, Maine. Beverly is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Judy and Lee Tubbs of Windham, her sisters Susan Grant, Myrtle Works, brothers George and Merton Verrill, her beloved granddaughter, Micki Shoop and her great grandchildren, Meghan Jennifer and Ryder Paul Alberti, as well as many other relatives and dear friends. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, her daughter Jody North and her brother Harold Verrill. We would like to sincerely thank and acknowledge the entire staff at St. Andre for their loving care of Beverly over the last three years. A memorial service will be held Saturday July 29, at 3:00 pm at the Windham Chapel of Dolby, Blais and Segee, 434 River Road, Windham. We will commemorate Beverly with a celebration of life after the service at Judy and Lee's house on Windham Center Road.
