Betty Lou Vokey, 83, of Tink Dr., Gorham, passed away Tuesday, January 19, 2016 peacefully at her home. She was born and raised in Westbrook, one of 13 children, the daughter of Walter and Esther (Kelly) McClure. Betty worked for Nissen Bakery and at the Barron Center for many years before retiring. Betty enjoyed travelling with her sisters, doing arts and crafts, reading, and writing. She was predeceased by her husband Charles Vokey, a daughter Linda Machester, and her 10 brothers and sisters. She is survived by her children Harry and his wife Lee-Ann of Westbrook, Joseph and his wife Cathy of Portland, Cindy Woods and her husband Gerald of Windham, Timothy and his Fiancée Cathy Blake of Gorham, and Statie Luxton and her husband Scott of Clearwater, FL; 12 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren of whom she enjoyed immensely; as well as several nieces and nephews.       Visiting hours held on Thursday, Jan. 21, from 4 to 6 PM followed by a funeral service at 6 PM at Blais and Hay Funeral Home.
