Bertha "Delores" Jessen of Sebago Maine, daughter of Adolf Wondrovski and Alvina Winters was born in New Britain, Connecticut on August 11, 1928. Delores was joined by holy matrimony to Harry Jessen on August 31, 1946. On December 18, 2023 at the age of 95 years, she fell asleep in Jesus. She is survived by her daughter Sandra McIntyre of Naples, Maine, grandchildren Brett and Julie McIntyre of Beverly, Massachusetts, Casey McIntyre and Kelley McIntyre, both of Bristol, Connecticut, and seven great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her beloved husband Harry Jessen, brother Adolf Wondrovski, sisters Alma (Wondrovski) Klepps and Ruth (Wondrovski) Jessen, and son-in-law Charles McIntyre. Delores was LOVED by all who knew her, and she loved them like they were family. She was "grandma" to so many, and "GG" to her great grandchildren that filled her with pride. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. She would brighten a room when she was there, and her smile was as warm as her hugs. She enjoyed cooking, and anyone lucky enough to sit down with her and a plate of her pancakes will know there was no turning down second and third helpings. One of her favorites activities was games, all games. It didn't matter if it was a yard game, card game, board game, or dice. She was always ready to play, and always ready to win. Friends are invited to greet the family from 10:30 to 11:00 at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 410 Main St., Gorham, ME, this Friday December 22nd followed by a Memorial Service at 11:00 AM.
